James Michael Lafferty

James Michael Lafferty has been a recognized leader and innovator in the wellness industry for the past 30+ years.

Despite a long and successful career as a CEO for some of the world’s leading consumer goods companies (Procter and Gamble, Coca-Cola, and BAT); James has maintained a continual love for, and presence in his “roots” which is wellness, fitness, and Olympic-level athletics.

James graduated summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a double major in psychology and physiology. Whilst at university, James was appointed Head Track and Field Coach for Forest Park Middle School, where he won 3 consecutive City Championships, and produced 3 US Junior National team members who medaled in US Championships, with several going on to run in the US Olympic Trials. James also founded and was CEO of Vivo Fitness Services, a company which was one of the pioneers in the world of corporate fitness.

James has continued as an active coach throughout his corporate career, coaching elite marathoners from Germany, France, USA, Nigeria and Philippines. He was coach of the Nigerian Olympic Marathoners from Nigeria in 2012 London Olympics.

Starting in 2014, James founded the “Adopt-an-Olympian” program in Philippines which pairs prospective Olympic athletes with a CEO “sponsor” to help provide world-class coaching and training. James personally coached and sponsored long-jumper Marestella Torres, helping her return successfully from pregnancy, and at age 35, leap a new national and SEA record, and qualify for her 3rd Olympics in Rio 2016. James is also sponsor and a coach of 400 Meter Hurdler Eric Cray, a top 10 ranked hurdler in the world, also going to Rio.

James is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Medical Wellness Association, the world’s leading institution for unifying the wellness and medical professions.

James has developed, a breakthrough program called “Executive Wellness Bootcamp” which is designed for active executives and over the course of one day, covers proper diet, high intensity training, stress management and yoga. This program has been taught to Fortune 500 executives in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America to rave reviews! It is the only such program in the world that is endorsed by the Medical Wellness Association.

Through it all, James has remained a role model for health and wellness. He has personally run over 30 full marathons (42.2 KMs) and recently won the Philippines National Championships in Master’s Powerlifting. He is the rare individual who has successfully juggled a career as a CEO, plus one as a coach and athlete!
